Prazi Pro in mixed reef?

Hey all,

I don't have experience using prazi pro, I was hoping some experienced reefers can help me out.

I have a juvenile tang with an internal parasite (white stringy poop). He looks healthy and eats like crazy so I would like to take care of this asap before it spreads to other fish etc.

I've heard that prazi is the best solution but not sure if this stuff would be safe to use in a mixed reef tank.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

It claims reef safe and ive used it before. I woudnt use it again in a reef environment. If its just 1fish, take him out and Treat that sucker

That's the problem, getting that one fish out will be incredibly difficult. On top of that, I want to be 100% sure that I treat it all because I can't be certain that the other fish don't have it by now as well..

What makes you not want to use it in a reef? Any negative side effects ?

I was researching this same topic. Seems multiple members have used in their reef system with no issues to thier corals or inverts. Feather dusters supposedly have an issue. I was most concerned of my haddoni but members had no issues with their haddoni including bta's.

I don't need to use it though. But was researching in case I do need it hehe.

Thanks for the response, did you find any information about it hurting/killing pod population? Inverts?
