Pregnant Mandarin!!

This is my first experience with my mandarins breeding.
I know it has been less than two weeks for procreation, but i have no idea how long it takes to birth and what to expect.
I have a mature tank with plenty of food. I figured if eggs were caught i can put them in the fug cause there is no predators and plenty of small bugs!
Here is a pic of my pregnant girl! Any information will be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks, Mitzzi

Mitzzi,

sorry to be blunt and rip you out of the dream, but there is no way that you can breed this fish without dedicated tanks and experience in culturing pod's, rots and phytoplankton.

Breeding Synchriopus is already the grand master level ;)

I figured as much cause in all my years of saltwater I have not even experienced mandarin births.
I would like more information though...

How long it takes for embryo's to develop, how many eggs to expect, I do have a large pod and mysis population and phytoplanton, but no rotifers. I know my chances are slim but have the opportunity to try so any more information or links would be helpful!!

Thanks, Mitzzi White

Eggs will take 16 hours to hatch. Spawning can be easy if well fed, hatching at high temps too. Raising is a totally different subject.
Look for Matt´s loooooong thread on his mandarins. That´s the best information I´ve read this far.
