Folks have commenced threads about companies they have had bad dealings with. I figured its good to ploint out when aquatic companies provide outstanding service. Over the years, I have submitted many equipment orders through Premium Aquatics, an RC sponsor. I have always found their prices to be extremely competitive, and their service is exceptional. Invariable, my orders go out Sunday night and they arrive Wednesday via UPS ground. That is only bthree days to receive a deliver. They have never screwed up an order until recently. I purchased new halide and VHO lighting equipment and they accidentally sent me a white actinic lamp instead of a super blue actinic. I wrote an e-mail to inform them and they immediately wrote back informing me that they would send the blue lamp and I can keep the white actinic. Also, if folks recall, they donated a Panworld external pump to the zoo project with no hassle. So overall, a huge thumbs up for Premium Aquatics!
 
Can't agree more. I had billing problem with them a few years ago that was entirely the credit card company's fault, NOT mine, and NOT PA. PA was great about the whole thing. I have made many purchases from them, dry goods, live rock, snail and crabs. Great people to work with. Respond quickly to email and to post on their RC forum. They also have live chat.

I deal with PA for 98% of my drygood orders. They are quick to get orders out, customer service is top notch, best in the business I think. I had a PFO ballast go on me , I couldn't find the reciept. I called PA Jason informed me that I had 2 weeks left on my warrentee and contactacted PFO for me. I then sent the ballast to PFO and the replaced it with a brand new one at no charge .
 
Put me down for A+ as well. For my new tank I ordered my Hammerhead, a Tunze, ASM skimmer, Geo reactor, and several pieces parts.

One of my boxes showed up from UPS tattered and torn and re-taped with several, Expensive items missing. I called immediately. They could not have been nicer or more understanding. Shipped out, what I said was missing, AS WELL AS new items from the damaged box. I could have told them it was all missing and kept the goods ( not that I did or would ) but they wanted to take care of the customer to the best of their ability and do it promptly. Rare these days, and for an internet company, exceedingly rare IME!

Also like to give a shout out to Marine Depot. Not always the best prices, but service, phone assistance, and satisfaction are ALWAYS excellent!
 
I just experienced another very favorable interaction with Premium Aquatics. In April I ordered a Current USA Sundial T-5 HO lighting fixture. The other day I noticed that the actinics were not working. After some troubleshooting, it became apparent that the ballast that powers the actinics died for some reason. I contacted Current and they requested all sorts of documentation and maybe they would supply a new ballast. I contacted Premium and they stated that they are sending a new ballast and if I can't wire it in then they would replace the entire unit. That ius amazing considering it is the fault of the manufacturer and not them. I just continued to be blown away by this compaqny. They consistently surpass my expectations and set the standard for the industry.

I will try to wire it in but I may need the help of one of the local DIY gurus with this one.

BTW I agree with Captain C. I have had good experiences with Marine Depot (though I find that in most cases PA beats there prices) and I have been very pleased with Live Aquaria with livestock orders.
