I don't understand why it would be a problem? Unless its submerged in water. The chemicals don't leach out in the air and settle in the water.... the only reason I can see not to use it is cause generally I find pt to be warped most the time plus the added weight to a stand.
Well its dry. So I can use kilz on it. I guess I will make the stand with it. I had an older tabs made out of it and never had problem. Just wanted to see if anyone else had any bad experience with it.
I made the stand frame of my old 90 with pt and never had a issue. I didn't prime/ paint or anything. I had free pt 4x4's so that is whatiI used. No issues at all.
I don't understand why anyone would even worry about it. Unless it's going to be it contact with the water there isn't going to be any chemical transfer issue.
