Pressure treated wood for stand

I have about 20 pcs. Of 2x6 PT I want to make the stand only out of PT. The inside will be wrapped in foam. Bad idea ?

I think generally the advice is to not use pt wood due to the chemicals used to cure it. Why I don't know.

they use copper compounds in the chemicals. How long have you had the wood? If it has dried out enough you can just cover it in kilz.

I don't understand why it would be a problem? Unless its submerged in water. The chemicals don't leach out in the air and settle in the water.... the only reason I can see not to use it is cause generally I find pt to be warped most the time plus the added weight to a stand.

Well its dry. So I can use kilz on it. I guess I will make the stand with it. I had an older tabs made out of it and never had problem. Just wanted to see if anyone else had any bad experience with it.

I made the stand frame of my old 90 with pt and never had a issue. I didn't prime/ paint or anything. I had free pt 4x4's so that is whatiI used. No issues at all.

I don't understand why anyone would even worry about it. Unless it's going to be it contact with the water there isn't going to be any chemical transfer issue.
