hi mike/matthias,

i've problems setting up the static ip on the LAN expansion, thus not able to use TCP/IP.

whenever i tried to set it up via the profilux controller or via profilux control, it say 'resetting module' but reverts back to default.

my profilux is on the wireless ethernet bridge running dd-wrt firmware 2.3 and my main router is a linksys wrt54g ver7

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi

I already wrote this in another thread:
the seen settings may be different from the settings in the card because ProfiLux is not able to read out of the LAN-card.

This information can be found in the manual and this information is displayed in ProfiLuxControl:

Hi Matthias,

I've read the manuals and LAN set up guide a million times too.

I understand now that the settings are stored in the LAN card and the controller is unable to read from it. However if I set it as 192.168.1.108 and save it, I still couldn't ping that ip on another computer.

Is there anyway to know if the ip is set up correctly?

Please help.

Cheers

Are we talking about LAN or WLAN?

Ping must work. Or just enter this IP in your browser - you must see the configuration page of the LAN-card.

LAN not WLAN

that's why i'm still a little frustrated.
ping doesn't work and typing in the ip on a browser doesn't show the config page too.

IP of main router (linksys wrt54g): 192.168.1.1
IP of bridge (linksys wrt54gl running dd-wrt v2.3): 192.168.1.128
IP of PC (winxp): 192.168.1.101

:(

In the coming days I will do a walk through set of instructions, my network is of the anti LAN/WLAN variety being a Vista user and on a Linksys router with Mcafee, (lets take over your pc) firewall, So if i can do it, which i already have twice, anyone can do it.

Give me a few days to clear my backlog of dealer queries and will get down to it!
