Problem Setting Up Osomat

Roger,
My brother-in-law recently purchased an Osomat that I was helping to set up. The problem we are having is trying to maintain a constant level within the osomat box.

We hooked everything up, plugged it in and the level in the box begins to drop. The reservoir pump turns on and runs for about ten seconds then turns off but the level continues to slowly rise. It gets high enough to make the float "bounce", causing the alarm to go on and off repeatedly. So we turn everything off, remove a small amount of water (about a cup), double checked everything and tried it again. This time the little pump drains the box, blows a ton of bubbles, kicks the pump back on and the whole process starts over again.

So is there anything we can check or may have overlooked? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Make sure the pump is in right- sideways. Slow the pump speed down by turning the outlet and make sure no cables are touching the sensors. Let the osmomat pump run for a while before powering up the level controller part of it.

The pump is in sideways but the outlet is open all the way, so what should we have it set at? 50%? Another thing I forgot to mention in the previous post was that a few times the reservoir pump kept running well after the water level was above the sensor. The only way we could get it to stop was to unplug it. We checked the wires and it doesn't appear to be touching the sensor.

The sensor is just new most likely and new sensors tend to not work properly, rinse it with hot water- don't scratch it, just gently rinse it under the tap and dry it with a soft paer towel and give it a second shot, plastic repels water at first. I would try 50-70% pump output.

Roger,
Just wanted to say thanks. We followed your suggestions and everything seems to be doing fine, been running for a day now with no problems.
