Problem with 6055 pump.

The pump seems to be doing a constant interval - 3 seconds on, 18 seconds off. And it doesn't start the interval immediately after being plugged in. It takes about 30 second of normal run until its starts doing the interval. I read that the pump has an internal mechanism to recognize an obstruction and by the looks of it it seems to be triggered constantly. The pump was connected to a Multicontroller and now it isn't. Is there any way it might have a memory?
Please help me fix this problem.

Does the drive unit (propeller assembly) pull out easily? Is the shaft intact and firmly in the pump? It sounds like the auto shut down is activated and in this condition it tries to restart itself every 20 seconds. It doesn't have a memory, the only other possibility is the power supply. If it is overloaded it will overheat and shut off but it probably wouldn't be very rhythmic as it has a very primitive temperature sensor that shuts it off and it is not a very precise system.

It could be an issue with the internal electronics. Can you send in the pump and we will replace whatever is necessary? Just include a print of this post and your return address.

Yes and we replaced the motor, I had never seen a pump do that before so it was very strange.
