Problem with GBTA

Hi,

I bought a GBTA about 1 week ago. If placed anywhere on rocks it ends up down on the sand (lights are Radion G3 Pro running at 25% overall). Eventually it ends up face down in the sand - I am not sure if it is doing this on it's own or if it is down to the Picasso Clownfish going crazy with it. When it tries to inflate or move the Clownfish batter it around - I placed it against the glass and it took hold but then the Clownfish were so enthusiastic that it ended up letting go.

My question is, should I leave it face down and let it sort itself out on the basis that it might just be trying to get some peace from the Clownfish or should I be turning it over and moving it elsewhere in the hope that it will take hold? I presume it can turn itself back the correct way if it wants to do so? If I place it on the rocks it eventually moves itself back down onto the sand.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, apart from move the Clownfish out of the tank as this is not an option for a number of reasons.

Thoughts?

I personally got a rbta last week and while it didnt go somewhere i wanted it to go it has found a spot overnight and stayed put since then. From what i learned is that it will find a place where the lighting and flow is right for them so you should let them do their own thing. If you want to try to put it somewhere more toward your preference I would try placing him somewhere he could put his foot into like a crevice in the rocks so it can have its foot in the dark while also receiving light! IMO i would take it out of the sand if it is facing downwards and just put the foot near some rock and let it attach. Mine attached within seconds of me putting the foot near a rock and then it made its way toward his spot

It's probably ending up face down because it lets go of the rock and that's how it lands

Even if it is on the sand on it's foot or on it's side (mostly on it's side) it will eventually end up on it's face. It is hard to tell if it is doing this on it's own as the Clownfish are being extremely enthusiastic. I have seen it on it's face and looking like it is trying to move. I assume that it can turn itself back over if it really wants to.

Current or light does not seem to matter - it just wants to get to the lowest point it can. It has been in the tank over a week now. When on it's side it will open up very fully and often the polyps will appear quite fat.

So, it seems to not be particularly happy and doesn't show any signs of wanting to move anywhere or attach itself to anything (assuming the Clownfish would give it the chance to do so).
