My colors and I suspect everyones colors fade when using a probiotic method. I just recently starting using Zeo aminos and I can not tell you how much PE and color I am getting now. I also changed my dosing schedule. I only dose Optim or Digest each week, alternating between the two. My redslime is gone (for now at least) and corals are looking richer.

Colors are coming back for sure !!!

Same here... Prodibio for the past month... BioDigest one week, BioOptim next... Started KZ Aminos and SpongePower last week... I'm pleased with how things have started to color up and the PE I'm getting... I've actually started moving some of my SPS from other systems to that tank... :p

not that i am one to speak cause i am testing with the prodibio myself, on week 3 now, don't have to clean glass as much is really the only noticable difference, but for this system to really show it's affect's it take's time, really don't know why i am using it other than something to try i guess. proper equiptment and sized for proper application, as well as doing your regular maintnance, will have the tank looking the way it is suppose to anyway's. ut of curiousity those of you who;s coral's are paling out, what light's do you have ? and lighting period ? asking because this stuff does seem to make water clearer which in return allow's for better light penitration which could be causing coral's to fade or change. and yes sps need some nitrate and phosphate for their color's, ive really found that doing the basics will give as good of result's as someone using any of the different system's zeo ect

Primetime33,

I'm interested in using a quality amino acid supplement along with my prodibio. I've never purchased any zeovit additives and am unfamiliar with their products. Does zeo have more than one amino acid product? Would you mind posting a link to the amino acids you're using?

I'm not satisfied with prodibio's reefboster. Thus far, I'm observing pale colors from my SPS and no polyp extension. I'm hoping use of a quality amino acid will combat the color and increase polyp extension (especially with milles whose polyps will not extend at all).

Thanks in advance

Rick

For those of you using the zeo amino acids with prodibio, are you dosing according to the instructions (or less/more)?

I'm dosing according to the instuctions, however when I dose, I turn off my return pump and skimmer and only dose for the gallonage of my dispay... I leave it for a few hours with the circulation pumps running and then turn everything else back on...

Before I purchase any more chemicals, I am going to invest in a skimmer. I am looking at the bubblemaster and MSX skimmers. I am think of one that is at least rate for 2.5X the volume of my water (approx 100G).

If I start feed more, I am concern if my current skimmer will put the waste out.

When I look at my corals top down, the colors are great. But, when I look at them from the front of the glass, I am not so happy.

Dosing Digest one week and optim the next has really improved my tank overall. Before I dosed them at the same time every two weeks. Much less algae and improvement in color.
(Been using the system for close to 6 months now)

ok i am on my 9th week of dosing and i have quite a bit of brown algae/hair algae and since 2 weeks ago i started dosing reef booster weekly and bioptim/biodigest every other week alternating each one weekly. am i supposed to not use reef booster until all algae(nuisance algae) is gone? or do i keep my dosing schedule as is and add maybe a couple of urchins.

thanks in advance

stop the reefbooster until you get the algae to go away.

get the MSX the design is better than the bubblemasters and they are cheaper.

better skimmer less money = no brainer.

there are 2 Zeo amino suppliments that are labeled AA there is the Amino acid high concentrate and the Amino Acid LPS for lps corals, also Zeofood7 has amino acids and vitamins and a particulate coral food.

right now i use the AAHC and the zeofood7 and am happy with them.

June 24th Update...

June 24th Update...

Well, I have notice a dramatic change in the tank. With using Prodibio and adding the urchin, I can see improvements in the rocks and corals.

I have re-ordered BioClean. My corals started changing back to the original pale colors and some RTN. I also have some red algae in the tank.

The BioClean arrived today and I immediately started.

I think I will continue to use Prodibio since it seems to improve my tank. Also, Tank of the Month use the stuff and his tank is the BOMB!!!
