Prodibio BioKit - Will start on Monday evening

I dont think you will notice too much difference in the corals in two weeks. You probably will see a difference in water clarity though. My corals started to lighten in about 5 weeks. Once that happens, I would dose some good Amino Acids like Warner Marine's Ultimate Aminos. Week 6-7 start to dose reefbooster. Your corals are looking good!!

I had started Reefboost with the schedule for the ReefKit. Should I wait on the Reefboost?

Where did you purchase the Amino Acids?

I did the Bioclean (Optim and Digest) for the first six weeks. I then started the booster week 7 and every week after that. I was then doing the optim and digest every other week. Therefore, starting week 7 it would be Optim, digest and booster. Week 8 just booster. Week 9 all three and so and so on. I get my Warner Marine products from my LFS or Marine Depot.
PM sent.

Primetime,
Do you have photos of your tank before and after. I would like to see the current results.
Thanks

I did the Bioclean (Optim and Digest) for the first six weeks.

Meaning a 1:1 ratio per week or 1 Biodigest every week and 1 Bioptim every 2 weeks?

Tagging along..Dolby, I am looking forward to seeing your results, as posted in the local forum, I too am looking to start C+Bac method.

BTW, what is reefbooster? Is it similar to the Zeo's sponge power?

I would say no Spongepower is specific for sponges and like feeders.
Reefbooster looks to be like an all purpose suppliment additive. Thats what i got from it anyways.

I hope this post corectly.. here is a sample schedule

Eric, I need to pick your brain some time... I am about to be overwhelmed.

Sorry I missed this Jeff..,anytime.

Husky- Booster is vitamin, amino, fatty acid supplement that is well regarded overseas. You can also use it in place of selcon or vita-chem to enrich foods.

You will have to turn off the skimmer for Reefbooter or it will over skim. I dose in the late evening, then tun on the skimmer the next morning.

I turned off the UV completely.

As for the other additives, I leave the skimmer on.

dobly_1999:

FWIW your corals looked very light to begin with. Maybe your colors are as light as they can be?

I have to agree. I have started using the Reefbooster part of the kit. I need the colors to be more saturated. How and how long is the question.

a couple of qu's
I have a 60 cube with a 20 (15 of water) sump, I have been dosing the biodigest and optim for a month, half a bacs and a full optim every 10 to 15 days, I wonder if I can dose a full bacs as i am just wasting the half that is not being used,(i dont know how effective putting it in the fridge is). I have dosed 1 reefbooster recently but reall did not like the effects on my tank, the skimmer went low and the high for a full 24 hours. I feed my own mix of finely grated, shrimp scallop and squid with vits and forulal pellets mixed in. do I really need the reef booster or can I just feed my fish a little more?, it seems to have caused a little algae growth which I have not had for a few months.

I would hold off on adding reefbooster until all that green macro covering the rocks is gone... I imagine the algae is using up all the nutrients and the coral aren't getting enough - your rocks are covered.

do you add the digest and bio at the same time or do you guy's add one one day and the other the next?

I suspect that is a problem. I will hold off on the Reefbooster and feed lightly.

I dose the Optim and Digest the same time.. not mixing them but one after another.
