We are very pleased to finally release (provisional) pricing of the PIII kits and expansion system. The price for the whole controller will follow once we have obtained the PowerBar PAB pricing.

But first I would like to clarify how the discount will work as this is highly important to all of you that it is understood without confusion or question.

1. ANYONE that currently owns a ProfiLux Plus II or Plus II EX up until the 30th September qualifies for the discount

2. ANYONE that purchases a Plus II or Plus II EX After the 30th September does NOT qualify for the discount.

3. ALL qualifying owners have exactly 30 days from 9am 1st October to 9pm 30th October to purchase. Time will be worked on PST.

4. There will be absolute no extension or reason accepted to extend this time period. We are providing more than a months notice so enough time and notice has been given.

5. Pre orders will be taken as of next week, details to follow.

6. USA clients have two points of purchase
www.progressivereef.com
www.ottawainverts.com

7. MACNA - the units will be on display there but not for pick up, however you can pre order for delivery.

8. If demand outstrips supply we will honour the discount, we would appreciate however customers emailing us at sales@aqua-digital.com with their serial numbers so we can make sure enough supply is imported.

9. The discount applies to the upgrade kit only NOT the expansion box or PB power bar.

10. Pricing - to follow today! :p

This is for the USA canadian market only, I have no control or say what any other global distributor wishes to offer, sorry.

I have to add also, GHL would not allow us to sell units to clients outside this area as it would interfere with the other distribution networks.

So onto pricing

GHL ProfiLux III upgrade kit (provisional)

Normal MAP price = $309.00

30 day DISCOUNT PRICE = $198.00

Pricing for other items as follows

Digital Power bar PAB = Price to follow
Expansion box = $389.00

Whole controllers

Profilux III = $599.00 (controller Plus temp probe)
ProfiLux III EX = $699 (as above)

Kit prices including controllers, power bars expansion boxes etc etc will follow much later.

PRICES SUBJECT TO FLUCTUATION DUE TO IMPORT COSTS/ EXCHANGE RATES AT TIME OF LAUNCH

Everyone that wishes the upgrade please contact one of the two dealers listed here providing them with your serial number. NO discount is offered without serial number!

So define what is on the EX that isnt on the standard...
I was lead to believe that Conductivity and Ethernet were standard as there was only a Profilux 3 not a 3 EX...

if you are talking about the PIII and PIIIEX

PIII (standard)

Temp
Level x 2
pH
4 x 1-10V interfaces
USB
LAN with built in webserver
RS232

PIII EX

All the above +
x3 level
redox
Conductivity/salinity
L5L6 (1-10V interfaces)

Same differences as with the Plus II range.

The PIII controller or upgrade kits has NO bearing on the EX part of the controller, nothing changes in this respect. What is offered now with the EX kit is the same now as well as after the PIII upgrade, they are two wholly different upgrades

Look at it this way as a family tree

First came the plus II
Then came the Plus II EX

The plus II could be turned into a Plus II EX by installing the EX kit

Then comes the PIII or PIII EX

So if you have a plus II and you want to go all the way and turn it into a PIIIEX you need to do the following

install the EX kit
Install the PIII kit

= PIII EX

Just remember the EX part of the controller range is a completely different expansion and not related to the PIII upgrade kit at all.

if you have a plus II and want to turn it into a P3 EX you must also fit the EX expansion kit also.

michael,

do you have a revised feature set list for the new unit?

also will the software release as a major release with new features at the time of the units release?

I am waiting for Matthias to provide me with this info.

The software will change in steps if the past is to go by this ensures bug free operation.

Is this a new digital power bar for the the PIII? If, so will the old ones still work? and what is the difference between the two?

Does the exterior change on the PIII? Can we have some pics of the front of a new (non-upgrade) PIII? Any word when pics/pricing will be available on the new View unit?

Yes the old power bars will still work ALL existing equipment will work. Difference with the PAB power bar is two way bus capability.

The exterior will change in regards to the new front panel display

The touch screen display will be released in the new year, no pricing as yet as still in development

Temp probe comes with the controller as per all other controllers in the range, packs will be launched in october with additional probes just as packs have now

Hi,

I tried looking around but didn't find this info. What does the upgrade kit will do ? What will the upgrade enhance from the PII plus to PIII ? Is it mainly hardware upgrade to be able to used all the new features that will come out ? Because I thougth the touchscreen will be part of the uopgrade kit but I just read that this features will come out in december. So is it mainly a hardware updates ?

Thank you

Hi

This is the first step of the PIII release, first you need the hardware in the controller to access all the new features, of course exisiting equipment works with the PIII as well.

The upgrade allows for advanaced web interfacing
Massive amount of accessory add ons, 50 ph probes if you so wished!
ProfiLux advanced bus system allowing dual communication to all sorts of devises as they are released including the PAB power bar.
Standard equipped USB

The Touch screen was never part of the initial launch as this is a huge undertaking that will propel GHL into a completely different arena from other controllers and I am quite sure will segregate the market for us in a very positive way!

GHL are now very much forging ahead away from what other competitiors do offering very unique and different options, this has already started with the launch of things like the Hydor controller module and systems to allow third party LED units to be connected, including DIY systems. This is just the tip of the iceburg of what is to come in the next 18 months. In this time period it will be very obvious you will not be able to compare the GHL product anymore to other controllers on the market, as GHL continue to offer complete control systems for a whole tank from pump control right through to advanced lighting control, if you need it controlling on your tank, GHL will be the controller to do it.
