The ProfiLux stand alone 3 way doser with built in controller has now been released, dealers are taking pre orders for delivery week 3 of August.

Please palce your orders no later than the 3rd August!!

We are initially only shipping the 3 way stand alone, but if you do wish for either the 1-2 or 4 version please let us know no later than the 3rd August and we will aim to get this for you as well.

my memory is jogged now.
But could I trouble you for a little more information about the doser with built in controller?
Basically, what else can I connect to this controller?
I've had a look at the manual and I see the same picture but no real expansion of information.
What I would consider using it as is a second controller located near the sump with a focus on the equipment in the sump. The original plus II controller would be used to control items in the display.

The stand alone doser built in controller only controls the pumps and nothing else. it is just as the name attains a stand alone unit.

it has been developed for people who want the control features and high build quality of the GHL dosers but either dont require a complete ProfiLux controller or have a third party controller already

So my best bet would be to utilize a standard dosing station..

I'm interested in using this for the Balling method of adding calcium to my reef. The current Tank-of-the-Month uses the Grotech III, so my question is, does this unit work similar to the Grotech III (can it be used for the Balling method)?

If so, how much does it cost? If the price isn't public, then please send me a private message (PM) here on ReefCentral!

I was looking here and didn't understand. They look like the same stand-alone unit, with 3 dosing pumps (plus the 4th one), but they are listed as "1 pump", "2 pump", etc. Possibly using the same image for everything b/c it's the same unit... but you have to buy each diastolic pump upgrade to expand it beyond one? Confusing, and the descriptions don't say much to me.

I know you guys would rather sell your own controllers but I was wondering about future upgrades on 2 things. Can your dosing pumps be used with other controllers Reef Keeper for example? And can the "stand-alone dosers" be used with other controllers? And can your "stand-alone dosers" be used with your controller and somehow one by-passes the other?? Just in case I went with the stand-alone and upgraded later.

the image for the dosers that work with the profiLux controllers are a generic image yes.

With ALL the GHL dosers whether the stand alone or the units that plug into the GHL ProfiLux, they come with either 1 pump 2 pump 3 pump or 4 pump.

However the 1-2-3 versions can be upgraded by simply adding another GHL peri pump, there is a round blank in the front that pops out and exposes the mounting holes. if you would like to email me for the manual you will see what i mean sales@aqua-digital.com

The stand alone doser is just that, it has its own built in controller and can not be run with a Profilux or a any other controller.

The standard doser jusr runs from the Profilux.

There is a package being offered that gives you a ProfiLux plus II aquatic computer, 3 way doser, ph probe and temp probe. Contact Todd Cherry at Cherry corals for details, this package is as popular as the stand alones.
 
Have not seen this mentioned - Is there any recommended type/size of tubing to use with the ProfiLux dosing pump draw and feed lines for best performance?
 
How many rollers does each pump have, 3, 4? Also, on your 3 way stand alone, if I want to add another pump in the future, how does that work? Is it clean cut to where you remove a endcap and then plug in the 4th pump into a empty wire loom and then screw the 4th pump onto the main assembly where the end cap came off, or is the 4th pump a stand alone unit that just plugs into the main assembly in order to control it?
 
the GHL employs laboratory grade self lubricating 3 roll system designed to not jam, 4 roll are applied to large apparatus where higher volumes are required.

To add another pump simply remove the end cap screw in new pump and connect to PCB. Simple as that.

ALL pumps fit within the same housing as picture shows at the top of this thread
