I am looking in to getting the profilux and also looking to get the dimmable ATI fixture is there anything extra i need for these to work together?

That would depend on what ATI unit you purchase.
Some units are GHL ready and some units are not GHL ready.

For the GHL ready, ATI dimmable units you just plug them directly into the L port on your profilux.

I have one of the Dimmables running on my personal tank and the dimming up and down features available from the profilux are really nice!

The part that makes "ANY" T5 dimmable is a card supplied by GHL called the EVG-AP PCB, this is a switching and interface card.

The 1-10V line runs through the PCB acting as an interface between ballast and profiLux but also acts a a line signal to the 110V relays. When there is a 0V state the relays switch off killing all 110V power to the ballasts.

These cards are now being fitted to sfiligoi lamps also, so now you have two choices of T5's dimmable with profiLux.

In the near future GHL will have their own T5 lamp as well dimmable in all wattages.

But for now if you want the ATi then talk to Greg Morgan at reef geek, as he is the USA distributor

Thank for the help . The great customer service in this forum is what made me decide to buy the profilux. I will be talking to greg at reefgeek soon that is where i found the fixtures. one last question i am planning on the 6x39 fixture will i be able to dim blue and white bulbs separate? I think the fixture has 2 ballast one with 2 bulbs and then one with 4 bulbs on it.

Hi

Yes you can, you will have two channels so you would assign for example illumination 1 to white and illumination 2 to blue

But first you assign the L ports to what you wish them to react to. The L port is the 0-10v interface that the control line plugs into.

So in this instance as an example you could utilise L1L2, so go to 1-10V interface in the software and assign L1 to illumination 1 and L2 to illumination 2. This is actually the default setting anyway out of the factory so you would not need to change anything, I am just highlighting the concept of how you can change things.

Once all assigned you now set your dimming curves in the illumination screens.

Gregs a great guy we work very closely with him for all our dealers in regards to ATi and also Ai LED's
