Progression of my 240G SPS reef tank over the last five years!

Are the colonial hydroids causing an issue? I was just reading on older thread discussing those compared to the "soft puffy" ones. They describe the colonial "tube" type as being non-invasive. I believe I have the same type, and I haven't seen them move from the small patch they occupy in 2 years. I think they look nice, but I'm wondering if I should chisel them out.

Yup, The hydroids never die!! Even if you clean it up they come back fast.

The following is the one that I have:

dja1980: If you have the same thing, then you need to get rid of them before they take over your tank.
