I don't use it I let it run 24/7 but if you want it to stop at night use the fhotocell

thanks paul,still lots to do to finish everything up but im almost done.i need to finish the light rack and get it mounted into the hood,then finish the hood out.the rock needs a few more weeks of cook time before they can be put in the tank.at this point i just need my skimmer and controller and i will have all equipment.

yes the weekly award goes to me lol.i already told him sorry im a donkey the link didnt work for you?google search(orca skimmers)look for orca systems,should be first on the search list.i just played with the wavebox for a minute....THIS THING ROCKS......i had a wave going and i was holding the box in my hands :thumbsup: once i get it mounted and dialed in i will get a video clip.

well i redid the right side return plumbing to open up the wavebox opening and placed the wavebox in the tank.i havent been able to find the sweetspot yet and am only getting about a 3/8" wave.im sure with a little time ill get it dialed in.here is the new plumbing and a video clip of the wave action so far.

it fills it box when the pump is off,then turns on and dumps the boxs water into the tank.the controller tells the pump how long to stay on and off for.once you find your tanks frequency you produce a wave.

does it dump the water out or down, if it dumps the water down, wouldn't you have a problem with tanks with sand beds getting stirred a little to hard by the dump?

it blows the water out the length of your tank,not downward.basicly the pump pulses on and off at set intervals to produce a wave.

So basically its a pump in a box that runs on a fancy timer that can turn it on and off in seconds as opposed to the timers we see that have 15min. intervals at best?

yep lol you nailed it right on the head.it actually runs for less than a second.

more like 2 1/2 mike,this one isnt done yet your tank is very large and planning is essential with that size tank.besides that you are the..........KING OF PATIENCE.......i just cant wait,like you can.im like that kid on christmas morning thats waking mom and dad up at 5am
