Okay folks well since I have now taken care of my other stuff I have now started to use CV and HCAA again. So here is the first set up pictures that I just took 5min ago. No photoshop used only resides the picture. I will be taking week by week pictures to show the progress. The camera that I use is a HP Photosmart 850, exporsure was set on auto w/a F-stop at 5, and white ballance on auto as well so what you are seeing is what the camera is seeing. So here they are and please lets keep this one on track.

Mario, Just for those that don't know, how about telling everybody what CV and HCAA stands for ..........

Oh, and the cost:lol:

Don't forget to mention that 6 letter word that starts with a Z.

Sure mark. Okay this is a Zeovit product that I have started to use not is not the whole system but a product that you can use in your tank with out the other stuff. CV stands for Coral Vitalizer it is use to promote increase growth, HCAA stand for High Consintrated Amino Acids. Its main purpose is to feed the corals simbiotic(sp) algea to help pormotre beter color. Both products have been used by zeovit users and non zeo users and have reported good results. The product is expensive especialy CV but I can pm folks the price if just to be on the safe side ( you know what I meen Mark) The dosing is as followed forboth: 1 drop for 25g of water.

You take good pictures... I was drooling over hugos tank.. once again :)

My pictures are kinda avg... what is a photobox?

sorry that I have not upgraded pictures but I just did a water change, give a an hour or so. Also sorry for no update last week but i've been having issues with aol lately.
Mario

Hey tanks franky. A photobox is just an acrylic box that I use to put my camera in to take top down pictures and not worry about the lights reflecting on the camera you can also get closer to the corals that way.

Well here are some pictures that I just took. Not too clear cuase I just did the water change but gives you a look.

first one is a deepblue tenuis this one was more of a dark purple but has started to get a realy nice deep blue to it. Looks better from the top.

Hi Mario, nice shots and thanks for keeping us updated on your Z usages and experiment. Can you by the way pm me where you get your Z's product?

Thanks,
Perry

Myself and two other guys split a bottle of AAHC and plan on splitting a bottle of CV as well. I will also be posting my results when I start.

Let me know if your asternia star's or snails start turning blue? we can rename them to LE Smurf stars and sell them for profit! Woo Hoo!

what are you talking about. The star is gray and white. not blue. It might look blue cuase of my T5 blue+ since it like using attinics. I hope you dont think iam retuching up the photos becuase you are more then welcome to stop by my house and see for your self.

Gray, and White... Are you sure about that?

T5 blue+ still doesn't make something tan colored look blue.

I really do think those photos are touched up. It really doesn't mater regardless, but if you are promotiong a product to produce better coloration in your corals then you shouldn't be misleading people to belive using these productions will make your corals only produce a hue of BLUE. How has it changed the coloration on corals that aren't blue?

Maybe one day I'll come check it out, but lets give your tests a try for a ltitle longer.

One thing i did notice was most of your photos show an extreme amount of hair algae in your display. If you hare having corloration issues you should cut back a little on your nutrients? This could be the cause of your coloration issues. Just seems odd that you haveing issues with coloration with a tank that has hair algae in every picture I see.

Don't take this the wrong way, just trying to understand the root cause of why the addition of the AA to your system.

While Im not ready to raise the [profanity] flag on Mario for touching up pictures, I do agree that he probably does have a nutrient problem and that would likely help his colors more than any additive to fix that first. My tank has ZERO visible algae growing anywhere and I have tested my phosphates with a Hanna so I know my nutrients are low. My colors are good on some and ok on others, but most of mine are frags too so its hard to say what they may look like as a colony.

I agree, why would someone need to use "snake oil" if proper care, maintenance and stability can achieve the same results?

I don't see what the problem is even if the photos have been touched up (which they are not). The key is that they are comparison photos, if the pictures are processed in the same way it should not be an issue. I know Mchava is very skilled with the camera and he knows how to take pics. If there is any doubt take a look at this months tank of the month pics. Mchava did a fantastic job with those. I am only taking Mchava's side on this one because I too have been accused of photochopping :) my photos. I will say that if I knew someone with a Macintosh that would loan the program to me, they would be right but until that day.....
I commend Mchava for even sharing pics of his tank since many of the people on this forum don't for whatever reason. It is true that this product may in fact turn out to be snake oil. But what if it is not. I know I am always looking for that breakthrough product. What SPS keeper is totally happy with his tank. Not me that is for sure.
