Propagating my mag *pics*

After lights went out tonight. Taken with flash on. No bleaching here. Just pink/purple base with glare from the flash. I would say 75% healed at 2 weeks. I think I still got 2 weeks to go. Installed my new DIY stand today. But the nem is fine after the move.

I couldn't believe they cut that thing, but seeing the two week update makes me very hopeful. I remember seeing that color morph (purple base, green tentacles with purple tips) a lot when I worked at a local fish store about 10 years ago but none of them came in healthy. Now I realize how hard to come by they are and that particuliar color morph is my all time favorite one. I sure hope they succeed because I would shell out some serious clams for a healthy one.

You and me both. I'm waiting for F2 or F3 clones, just because my anemone-keeping experience is very limited and magnificas are challenging, but the day they become available is the day I start my mag-system build (or at least start saving up for one!).

It was painful watching them cut into that gorgeous anemone, though. That took some cojones!

3 weeks and removed the mag from the basket. Place one on the original rock and the other on the glass for future removal and propagating. Full circle but mouth still not healed. Haven't moved in 3 hours and they are loving the mp10. Got the mp10 cover and going to add that if it starts to wonder.

Update. Even though the mouth is not in the middle it was healed that I felt comfortable to feed 1/2 silver side. Fed both nem and took it without a problem. Not as sticky as before I cut them but sticky enough to hold the silver side. Reason I felt they needed feeding was their health look not at 100%. Maybe 75%. This morning the nem was looking 125% and that boost of energy really showed this morning.

Add it now... Unless you are going to be up at 3am when it decides to go wondering.

I had 2 die from Korola and a mp40.

You are much braver than I am to just slice a mag. Mine actually almost got split in two by a overzealous maroon that decided she just had to fluff it up so rough. But it has since healed and is now in my 300 system doing great. Makes me wonder about my old one that got chewed by a powerhead if it would have healed?

They both healthy and fully healed. Haven't moved. I say it was a success. Maybe I will cut again in a couple of months.

Will post some pictures soon.

Update. Well both still fine and is in two different tank. One is really larger then the other. One is probably 10+ inch while the other is 6+ inches. I can probably cut again but the FULL healing time is much longer then I expected. I thought one month they would be fully healed but it was actually one month to start feeding again and maybe 3-4 months to fully heal.
