Well at heart I am a Floridian but I do live in Dallas now.

Texas Pride

A recent study found the average Texan walks about 900 miles a year.

Another study found Texans drink, on average, 22 gallons of beer per year .

That means, on average, a Texan gets about 41 miles to the gallon.

Kind Of Makes You Proud To Be Texan. :-)

You know.......I'm from Florida.....and i got to spend a few years near Temple, TX (close to Waco). I didn't like it very much........but floating the river in San Marcos was badass! 6th street in Austin is kinda like church street in Orlando, and Dallas has a few nice clubs....as does San Antonio.......the problem is....those places are like 4-8 hours away from each other! Mexico is next door though....there's something to be said about that

$10 drink and drown! Let's go to guarrez!

I moved out here for my career. I am single, 31, with no kids, and I had a great opportunity and took it. I get to travel about 2-3 times a month for work which is pretty cool. The cost of living out here is very low and the weather isnt that bad. Its kind of like Florida except less humid and a little colder in the winter and a house is only about $150,000 instead of $300,000 and no hurricanes! I miss the ocean though but I still make it out to the keys and Orlando a couple times a year. I really like Dallas. I like going to honky tonk bars and listening to some great live music. Its a great sports town too. I have MLB, NBA, NHL, and NFL teams within a few miles of my apartment! I have a feeling I'll stay here a while. I think one day I'll be back in the Sunshine state but for now Texas is my home.

Thor32766: Brian, that picture of your dog gives me the creeps!

They sure don't have hurricanes, they have tornados and ice storms lol. I'm from Oklahoma, and i'll take the hurricanes over the tornados any day. Atleast with the hurricanes, you know a week in advance. With the tornados, you generally know just about the time the roof lifts off of your house that there might be a problem lol. Have you had the pleasure of waking up to an inch of solid ice to drive to work on yet?
