Pseudochromids

When I set up this reef after being away from the hobby for a year the idea was a low maintenance, low impact reef. So after the rock cycled I got some aquacultured montipora frags and macroalgae from Inland Aquatics, I pretty much left everything alone for a year. Last week I got a tank raised and mated pair of Friedman's Pseudos, also from Inland. Today I found they had spawned. Didn't plan on this and certainly didn't think it was that easy.

yap, they are no problem. from what i was able to find so far they should be fine on the bbs from the start, no mess.

I thought they had to be started on rotifers. The book "Breeding the Orchid Dottyback, Pseudochromis Fridmani: An Aquarist's Journal" by Martin A. Moe is a good read for these fish, and I thought that he used rotifers and wild sorted plankton

Guys, thanks for the advice. Shanhell, I'll get a copy of Moe's book. I always thought that his Marine Aquarium Systems and Invertebrates was the best of the early reef books. I wasn't really planning on raising the fry, but it might be doable.
