Pseudochromis and snowflake eel?

Just a quick compatablility question, as long as I kept the snowflake eel well fed using a feeding rod would I have a problem adding a Orchid pseudochromis? I would assume that the eel would need to already be feeding on prepared foods in order to prevent the eel from feeding on the pseudochromis during it's initial starvation period.

dont think i would mix the two. the eel will feed even if full. thats its natual instinct, and you have its natural food available. REEF-ON!!!

I a similar combination living together in a 180, a sunrise dottyback and a snoflake moray, and they are fine. The eel is quite old though so I don't know if he could catch the pseudochromis if he tried. I think it could work for you as long as you take the precautions you listed, as well as making sure you don't feed the SFE silversides or any similar fish meat. It will really depend on the personality of the SFE more than anything else.

Snowflakes don't naturally prey on fish, they feed on inverts (crabs, shrimp, etc). From what I have read they only eat fish if they are trainned to or the fish happens to be in the vacinity of food (hence the feeding stick).

My friend had a pretty good sized SF...maybe like 6 to 10 inches or so...he put a smaller clarkii in and it ate the clarkii...but i will he just got the clarkii and he was freakin out and not swimming around just sitting near the ground...i think that pseudo will be fast enough to get away tho...
