PTSD treatment tank

Here are the levels of my tank yesterday to today.

Yesterday
Alk 11
CA 380

Today
Alk 11.5
CA 390

Looks like I need to up my drip rate because my alk is climbing. Then for CA I might have to manual dose to get it where I want and then see if I can get it to stay stable. Fun time will be had getting it all balanced out. This is pre water change. I will be doing a water change this afternoon and I will retest my levels once that is done.
 
I'm a vet enjoying PTSD also. I love my tank, I'm moving to head back to school so I'm collecting equipment for a better set up once I'm in my house. I got out last year and seems like I haven't stopped moving. Can't wait to get it up and running. How's your tank doing?

Looks like I need to bump up my Mag just a little. Then let my Alk drop just a hair and get my CA up just about 40 more.
 
Just catching up with you and your tank 1fish. Sorry about the mishaps. I had the same thing happen to me except my calc reactor was my problem and later the recirculating stoped functioning. I have been kalk dosing since and peramaters have been stable since.
 
I just opened up the flow just a little more but keep the bubble count the same. I hope that will let balance out. Its not a drip every second but its not a stream kind of between.

That is what caused one of my crashes was kalk and dosing 2 part just wasn't doing it I was having to dose 100 ml of Alk and my Alk was still dropping. But for the last couple of days I can tell things are looking better because everything seems to be open up a lot more. Or maybe it could just be that I went from LED to MH/T5. I'm sure it will take a couple of weeks to a month to get it looking really good.

Why you switch back? Color, growth or both?
 
My daughter keeps on taking my note books to draw in so I'm going to try and keep a simple log on here. I guess this is good as any.
 
I'm starting to get really frustrated or mad with my tank. I got my calcium reactor all set up and nice and stable but I just cannot keep any SPS alive. They look good for about a week then slowly RTN. Here are my test results from tonight. I have been testing Alk almost every other just to make sure it's not going up or down with my CA reactor.
NO3 25 salifert
PO4 0.00 Hanna
Alk 9.1 Red Sea
CA 370 Red Sea
Mag 1120 Red Sea
PH 8.3 apex

I do carbon dose with vodka. I just don't have a clue what else I can do to save what I do have.
