Puffer has stopped eating after Cupramine

Had porcupine puffer for 3 months, it ate like a pig. Did not quarantine a tang, and everyone got ich. Puffer ate even though he couldn't see from the ich. Put him in stable hospital tank and dosed cupramine. The instant copper went in the HT the puffer stopped eating. Strikes at food, spits it out. Playful, runs to the side when he sees me, but you feed him and he spits it out. I tried garlic, 4 different kinds of food he loves, nothing, spits it all out.

Can it survive 3 more weeks of cupramine?

I would rather switch to TTM with that fish. A puffer can be done in pretty small containers which are hanged into the current HT. If concerned about water quality just do transfers every 2 days.

This. Copper is only marginally successful and even then only if long enough and the concentration is maintained.
