Hey all I just put a cucumber in the tank earlier today. I acclimated it for abuot an hour and a half and now it's puffing white smoke..... is this bad?

Many inverts will do that when stressed. It is releasing gametes ( trying to reproduce ).

It could be nothing but the stress of moving. Keep an eye on it. Some cukes are capable of killing off your tank when they die. It depends on the species.

You need to find out the species.

If it is a common yellow cuke then no, it won't.

You MAY have purchased a different species as it sounds like it may be a little large for the typical yellow cuke.

You need to get the species name from who sold it to you and go from there. Keep in mind that many cukes starve to death in a 30 gallon tank.

Caribbean cuke and they do sift sand. Like greg said, when stress sometimes they will release white goo,but usually soon after they regain composure and begin to eat and poop sand !
