Actually just did a quick Google search using pump and 0-10v and looks like reef octopus has a mode pump "varios 2" that is controllable that way. I know nothing about that pump
Yours is too over time with bacteria and algae growth in the pipes and with power fluctuations air gets in the plumbing and until it purges it will be slightly different and over time it will effect levels.....
I have to agree with Rovster and Jonny. If you want a really nice pump go for it but there should be no need for variable return speed. It'd cause more headaches I think. Just get a pump that will flow what you want and that can communicate with your controller just on and off is fine and call it a day. Get variable flow from your power heads. Just My .02 cents.
