Puple Firefish

Just added a purple firefish last night, he looked great in the LFS and last night for an hour before the lights went off. However, today I have not seen him yet, the occupants of the aquarium include ocellaris clown, ywg, jawfish, and 6 line wrasse. Is he just getting comfortable or should I start to worrry, any experiences with firefish are welcome also.

It's only been one day, don't worry. He's getting used to his new home. Mine likes to hide alot. He really comes out when he's hungry. Just give it time and feed him a good variety of different foods

Thanks jennkerry, I always get worried when I add a new inhabitant, what do you feed to maintain their magnificent colors, right now I feed brine and mysid shrimp with some flake

Formula two flakes, formula one & two frozen, frozen mysis, frozen prime reef. And if it's chopped up enough, mine likes frozen squid.

viceversabrd, I would just advise you to keep an eye out for that 6-line wrasse. I have some friends and fellow hobbyists that have had real problems introducing smaller fish after them... you never know but just keep an eye out.

Well good news, he was out today when I came home from work, I fed him mysid w/ garlic extract, he ate voraciously.
jennkerry-- thank you I will try to pick up some formula one and two, I have heard great things about it
Ianindc-- I have heard horror stories about six lines also, I guessed I lucked out, mine has been very docile to every fish and is probably my favorite in the tank
