Like I said they are located under the overflow box, in the shade and pics were taken with an old crappy camera. I'll see what I can do once I have a better camera. I am very pleased with them and can't wait for them to get settled in and eating.

Any suggestion on how to take a good picture with a camera that has no flash only a light and VHO ICECAP 660 with (2) 50/50 and (2) True Actinics?

Marc to anwser your question, granted I was still half asleep, the stalks look similar to a very light colored BlueBerry and the tips (bubble portion) was an Icy-Purple Haze with deep purple tips. The problem with viewing them in the bag was they were shipped with the black bottom border and once the bag is flipped you get some distortion due to the creases from the clamped top. The are really COOL, they were worth the price. Think about doing a 30 gallon Oceanic cube with just them and a pair of my Picassos.

TPD you lucky guy! They look good so far. Wish I had the dough to snag one of them before you got them. Looking forward to drooling over better pictures in the future.

Well the I guess you beat me to it on Friday EZ!!! I guess you'll get yours on Tue. you better post pics. Do you have the pic of yours from LA?

Seeing them in person, I am. I have been wrong before but I would be suprised if they were not. Just wait my friend.....just wait.

o.k, in the no flash/lights pic the column looks like a coraline algae (toothpaste) pink color, but if they are a light blueberry (purple-blue) color like you describe... as much as i've grown to hate bta's after having a rbta "trouble with tribbles" episode, i'd want one. very cool color esp. under the 20k's! can't help but think how stunning it'll contrast with of a pair of gsm clowns (or any orange/red clown) hosting.
good luck with them.

if liveaquaria's selling more of these purple guys, I wonder if they could be clones of each other? I realize they're collected, but I wonder if they were clones of each other in the wild. Also wondering how rare are they? I thought it was interesting that though we've never seen one before, they were still priced less than a RBTA.

Hey, EZ! I had that one in my shopping cart and by the time I entered my credit card info, it was gone :( I got the next one on the list though :)

You have to find out if those are eggs in the tentacles or what, even if it takes snipping a tentacle off to find out.
