purple BTA in the diver's den from LA?

If its new to your tank

If its new to your tank

NO its not abnormal.

I feed mine every other day that i give it time to expell.

Usualy the first night after i feed it, it stays inflated and then the next night it totally deflates.

It is refilling its self with water.

Pics would help.

I want to get one of these nems. Thats why i want you guys to keep going on about how they act.

my pbta inflates and deflates way too often...is this normal?

How long have you had it now?

My GBTA may only deflates about once a month that I notice, if even that.

But I have a feeling that yours is still getting adjusted to your tank. Now, if it had been in there for months and was doing it I would be concerned.

seapug,
thanks. i can't wait until it settles in. I hope it keeps this color as it matures in my tank.

Reefvette,
the base is orange/tan.

Lance M.,
it's a bta. 100% ID positive. I will post a pic of the base later so you guys can check it out.

Thanks Lance. Here's the shot of the base. Unfortunately it is not the best shot but it was taken while I was acclimating it yesterday.

Mine has only been in my tank for about 5 days now. It ate for the first time yesterday ( a piece of silverside ) and is bubbling up nicely.

Here's what it looks like as of yesterday:
