I had one in a 24g nanocube and it was a great fish. Sometimes it would jump into the sump, though.

This Orchid Dottyback is often confused with the Magenta Dottyback (Pseudochromis porphyreus) because the two do look very similar. However, the Orchid will have a black stripe through the eye while the Magenta will not.

Ah ok. Its usually less than $15 most places.. the orchid is $40+

I've kept 4 of these in the last 3 years and never had a problem with any of them. Some people consider them aggressive but with enough room and rock i've never seen them cause any problems. I've got one in my 125 right now and there's also a royal gramma in there. Some are more secretive than others.. depending on what other fish you have.
