Purple Hornet keeps dismounting from frag plug!

I acquired a polyp about a month ago. Last week I found the purple hornet polyp in the sandbed! I have a fully stocked 140 gallon tank and I was in disbelief when I did not see the polyp on the frag plug. The frag plug is cemented to live rock. Again today I came in and it was not attached, both times I was lucky to find it not too far from the rock/frag plug. Luckily it didn't' fall between the cracks of massive live rock.

What's the best way to superglue these suckers? I am scared I won't get lucky the third time. $175 investment!

i would glue it to a smaller rock and set that in the sand under one of those plastic crates strawberries come in, thats what i do with small pieces until they attach, then i secure the rock somewhere more permanent in the tank.

Dry them ( rock/rubble, polyp) dab some super glue GEL, place them in a separate cup with tank water to allow the frag to gently cure with the glue ( 5-10mins ) with out getting blown around in your main tank. once cured place in the clear container...

You can just get one of those Clear containers, drill/pop wholes all over it, small enoght not to let the polyp come out and big enough to let water to flow through. place some small rocks in there to keep it submerged.

what 650 said.. try the bottom of the polyp and dry the frag plug/rock rubble. The put a small glop of gel glue on the frag plug/rubble and carefully put the polyp in it trying your best not to get any of the top of the polyp in the glue.

After that, just put it in a little tupperware container with tank water for a few mins.

My polyps have come off the rock before and thats what I did. It was perfectly fine after that.

Good luck!

Don't want to much as if you get some on the part where the polyp actually opens, it would restrict the polyps opening movement and potentially harm it.
