Purple polyp balanophyllia?

Hey everyone,

Ive been dealing with an australia collector over here who's stating that there is a collection spot with quiet alot of balanophyllia and one out of 1000 of these have bright purple polyps. He says the dive site is fairly dangerous and because at day its like finding a needle in a hay stack he would have to do it at night, extra risky blah blah long story short, he wants and arm and a leg to collect them.

Naturally these sounds very cool and im tossying up if i part with the cash to get them, im just wondering if anybody has these and if so a pic or two (and possibly what you paid for them) would go along way to helping me make up my mind.

Cheers

Managed to pick up one with even better colouring, this one is more of a baby blue. The polyp is also the largest of any of the balinos ive had at a bit over 1"

Hey Steve,

Things have been going slowly but well, they were both very difficult to get eat and still arnt eating much, for the first week they probably ate 1 mysid each. I found by defrosting the mysid in the morning and leaving it to stink up a bit in the sun over the course of a day really helped in the second week and took at least 2 mysid each night, third week in and they now they are eating 2-4 mysid each night.

The colour has improved a alot in the smaller one with food but still no major PE but the flesh is looking alot fuller. the larger ones colour has also improve and I am starting to get a bit of PE each night.

If you have a look to the right of the smaller on you can see regular balino's and the difference in colour
