putting ceramic tiles around carpet anemone?

My haddoni is doing very well since treatment; however, this yellow chromis that I took from a friend over 7 years ago who was breaking down their tank and had no where to put him but mine has now decided to throw sand on my haddoni constantly. He backs up to it, gets close to the sand and uses his tail to get it all over him. I tried catching him out for about an hour - too difficult and I do not want to break apart my display to get him. Also, he does not come out at night (tried it last night).

I am thinking of putting a few ceramic tiles around the sand around the anemone to try and stop and prevent this chromis from dumping sand on him - I am sure it is not good for him.

Also, if someone has an idea how to get him out without breaking down the display- I am open to it. Any traps, methods, etc

(**Everytime he does, when there is a lot of sand, I use a turkey baster to get it off the carpet and then the carpet starts looking worse, I really need to get rid of this guy or figure out a way to stop him)

I usually have my net fully submerged resting on the sand with some food in it and just wait for the unlucky fish to swim in or close enough to it that I can scoop him up.

Just use a fish trap. If food as bait isn't working put a mirror opposite the opening. I can almost guarantee you that you will have him out within a day.

This fish is either really smart or just really scared - tried leaving the net in for a little more than an hour, every time he sees me get within 3 ft of the tank he darts into hiding.. tried feeding food over the net too and of course all my other fish aren't scared of it

Would a 2 liter bottle cut in half with a piece of acrylic on string with a mirror in the back do the trick for a trap?

Also would a mirror for a small bird work? (I know the reflective part is safe to be in the tank but what they use to make them thicker, sturdy etc - is that safe to be in as well?

Get the trap that you can trigger from far away. Feed him only in the trap. After a few days when you put food in the trap, he will go in.

make a trap from an old soda bottle. Depending on his size a 20 oz or a 2 liter. Don't feed for a day or two more than you normally do and put the trap with some food in the tank. They will go in and can't get out just pull the bottle and you are good to go. There are a ton of videos on youtube showing how to do it. It saved me $50 on a fancy fish trap.

made a trap, but got him out with a net - finally. (also taped a black garbage bag over the front of the tank so he couldn't see me standing there waiting).
