I am looking for pvc gate valves locally or online. Could someone point me in the right direction or if anyone has a 1" gate valve, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

-Matthew

Good luck, last week I had to settle for ball valves after visiting 2 Home Depots, 2 Lowes, 3 Plumbing supply stores and 1 pool supply.

The same here. I have already gone to lowes, homedepot and Davie plumbing where they said pvc gate valves are the worst things ever made. He recommended I buy the brass ones for my aquarium that would have no ill effects

Contact Ray AKA "rawbomb" he found a place in Fort Lauderdale that sales parts for Yachts, according to him they sell all the plumbing items we use in the hobby, Bulk heads, gate valves....ETC. I believe is on RT84 just east of US-1 but I don't know the name of the place.

SR84 east of US1 is Port Everglades. I think you mean west. There's a Marine Supply on the south side (can't remember the name). It's big, you can't miss it, they've got all kinds of big used stuff laying around outside like huge spools of rope, big anchors, tuna towers, etc.

The name of the store is Sailorman just west of US1 on SR84. They have all kinds of stuff for boats. When it comes to plumping supplies, I like to go to the smaller mom & pop type hardware stores..you can find all kinds of goodies to use in our hobby. One good one I like is Hanna's Hardware on Andrews just south of Prospect, nice little store and good plumbing department.
