Pylons Tank!

Missing Goby

Missing Goby

I can't find my goby anywhere :/
Normally when I get close to the tank he comes out from where ever he is hiding but not today..
Everybody else is accounted for..
the last couple days he had been hanging out by the Blood Shrimp not I don't see him there nor in the fire shrimps little cave :/

wish this was some sorta Aprils fools joke but it isn't :(

I think he got eaten by the BTA, who knows thoutgh

I went and sat down infront of the nem for a while, he opened up and showed me his stomach, looks like it might be a skeleton

I think i'll go to my LFS and pick up some silversides or something so he wont eat fish

You mena the Nem of the Goby?
The hole the goby dug is very small, I don't think the goby could fit into it.

It was a false alarm, thank god
He came out for food this time, he's had to have been hungry

Also, I had bought a new sponge and carbon today and put it in.. the sponge was just getting thick with nastyness and was having to clean it every other day.. and new carbon because it's almost been 6 months :)

Well, that's good news.

Carbon should b changed out every month (~80% is used up after 2 weeks). You may want to find a cheap place online to buy them in bulk, so it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg.

Alright, I'll look into getting a big box of it and them maybe using the same bag?

the nem looks good cant wait to see when its all settled in. but i have one question why does the mouth keep coming in and out?

also wat can carbon do for a tank?

Carbon pulls out disolved organics, colors and chemicals from the bulk water. It, more or less, 'polishes' the water.

yeah, at night when he's been deflating I've noticed his stomach has been coming out, much like my previous pictures.

I've noticed a difference already!

Sorry, accidently posted in the wrong thread. :-)

*gasp!* How could you!
JK, hoped you liked this throught though :)

I cut a silverside in half and held it infront of the nem until he grabbed onto it.. the clowns kept coming along and napping at it and pulling it out some. I put the other half at the bottom of the tank in homes that the crabs and clowns will go for that instead.
