Pylons Tank!

I dug a bunch of rock outof the hole they live in and the resurfaced today.
I think sometimes my problem is I worry to much lol.. did clearn that rock help them? I have no clue.. but there was so much rock on top of their hole you would have never known it was there to start off with.. not just the normal big rock the the shrimp puts to cover the hole up when they goto sleep.

So,l I've had three Turbos die in the last week.. whats going on with that?
On a positive side I've used their shells to put the frags that are not on plugs into.. they always kept fallingover and where a pain to handle.. hopefully this helps.. I'll get pics up soon.

Okay I"ll take some water to the LFS and have em check it as well as checking it tonight when I get home..
Two fell off the glass one fell off the glass but I caught him early he wasn't the same after that..

Dang, lights off my temp is 83 degrees..
I put the heater down to 75..where it was previous on 79.. maybe that'll help.. i'm omw tot he fish store now to test the water.

Great pictures, everything is looking great. I am glad your YWG and Pistol have found a safer place to live!!! Keep up the great work and please keep us updated!!! :)

So I watched the lafishguy series on protein skimmers and I went and took a look at mine... Holy Cow! the woodAirstone was completely caked with gunk.Spent a good 5 minutes with a straight edge razor skimming junk off of it.. I'll be ordering a new stone soon.

Get a bunch. They're cheap. You'll probably need to replace them once every other month to keep the skimmer working in top form.

Wood Stones should be in tomorrow as well as media bags and carbon to put in them.
Spent sometime today doign a water change and cleaning the glass on the tank and the rocks came tumbling down (a couple times) I put them back up .. they look a little different now but I like it.. (except for the bridge, the only way i could get it to stay was to flip it around).. i'll get some pics up when the lights come on later today.

got home from the gym and saw that I got my order had come in today! Doing happy busy stuff.
I put two new bags of carbon in, I like the new resealable media bags.
got the new woodstones and I have a nice foam head in the skimmer now.

I promise.. I'll get some pictures up tonight!

So, I figured out the the problem of my water temp was infact my heater.. I had it set down to 75 for a week and the water temp was staying at a base of 83. So i went and bought one of those cheap walmart heaters that has one setting.. 78.. we'll see how it goes.
