Qns on SeaChem Aragonite

Hi all,

need some advice here.

yesterday i pour abt 10kg(22lb) of Seachem aragonite into my 2ft nano tank...followed the instruction, rinsed the aragonite before using.

after rinsing, i pour the whole bag of aragonite into the tank, as expected water is milky... left it one day to water to clear...

today dust has settled down, but when i tried to level out the aragonite the whole tank gets very dusty/milky again... first time using aragonite is this normal?

concern is if i were to keep wrasse, will the wrasse stir the aragonite and make the water milky again?

thanks

That's very normal for new tanks. When the live rock is added to the tank and the bacteria take off, they seem to clump the sand together better. So the wrasse is fairly unlikely to cause problems in the long run, I think, based on my experience with sand-sifting goby fish.
