Quarantine for Eels and Dragonets

How would one quarantine a snowflake eel and a scooter blenny? They're going to separate tanks but my issue is, are they just going under observation in quarantine? Or do I copper medicate for ich? I've read eels are very sensitive to copper. And I think 4 week of a copper tank for a scooter blenny would result in a starved fish. Should they just be thrown into their respective displays?? Or should they be left fallows...fallous..err...without any fish that are more susceptible to ich for 6 weeks? How should I take care of this? Ich has been the primary killer for fish that I've kept in this hobby so I'd like to do it right and minimize, if not eliminate, the possibility of an ich breakout.

with scooters and mandarins i generally wave the QT rule for the reason of starvation. unless the fish is eating prep food you will be dooming it in a non established QT tank. i do a formaline dip and put them in the main tank and cross my fingers.
with any fish i don't think you need to automatically medicate. a QT period is a time for you to observe and make sure it's healthy and eating well before it goes into the main system. medication should only come into play if the fish is sick and needs it.

Thanks for the reply. I was just reading this article on marine ich and noticed that lionfish are also sensitive to copper. Should the same be done for him too? Dip and toss in?

My other fish (not copper sensitive) have been exposed to ich previously but have become immune. I do believe they are still carriers? Should I go through with the 4 week copper treatment? I don't want to add new fish later (ones more susceptible to ich) and have a blownout infection like has happened in the past. I have not visibly seen ich for a couple months by the way.
