Queen Angel transformation thread

If anyone has pictures of their Queen Angel going from juvi to adult, please post them here.

I got mine about a month ago. She was tiny at 2" and in such a short time, she's already grown and started changing. Here are some pictures:

This will be interesting to see. There was a guy who documented his emperor changing over like a 3 year period and it never fully changed. Got stuck between juvenile and adult. I just bought an adult emperor around 7" just because I didn't want mine to get stuck.

Yeah, I heard that about Emperors that sometimes they get stuck in Juvi colors. I think if they get to a certain size and they still have the Juvi colors, then they will never change.

Queen Angels are not reef safe. They'll nip at different corals. Mine is in a FOWLR.

Could just be the way the fish is angled or holding it's fins, but in the second picture it looks much healthier, I think you must be doing a good job.

Definitely much healthier now. When I got her she was very very skinny. I feed her 3 times a day, small amounts of angelfish frozen diet, plus she eats algae sheets, has eaten most of a whole sponge that was growing on my LR, plus the other stuff I feed the tank. She's also gotten a lot braver, no longer runs away from the Niger. Overall a very hardy fish with a big apetite.

lol, I just noticed that my yellow wrasse has managed to get in both pictures.

Yeah, I saw the wrasse too, I was wondering if it was the same fish because in the first one it almost looks like a B/F of some sort.

Last fish I put in my tank is either going to be a Emperor angel or a Queen, I'm still having a hard time deciding.

Yeah recty that was a tough descision for me also. In the end the queen gets just a little bigger than the emporor and probably would just get too big for my 150g so I went with an emperor.
