Queen Angelfish Coloration

Hi guys,

Im wondering if anyone could hopefully help me with a possible location i.d of where my queen angel might be collected from?

all my fish books and pictures on the web show juvenile coloration with the blue streak going through the eyes, i havent seen one where it stops around the eyes and doesnt continue.
its just out of curiosity,she has been a very model citizen with my other fish and hasnt sent me broke feeding her... yet
any help is much appreciated and thanks in advance.

The color around the eye is a product of it's age, as the blue line recedes from Juvenile into adult as it matures the blue around the eye will probably disappear, although there are always individuals with unusual or aberrant patterns. As far as where it comes from my guess would be somewhere between Jupiter FL and South to the middle of Brazil with the exception of the Gulf, they don't live in the western part of Florida or the Gulf of Mexico.

Just kidding but you can't tell where a queen was collected based on color, although there are some color patterns that repeat because of the genetics there is no hard or fast rule to tell unless you are talking about places where aberrant color patterns are common like St Paul's Rocks.
