Question about carpets & RTN

Can carpet anemones cause an SPS to RTN within 5 hours?

My carpet moved (or "went with flow") about 3+ ft across my tank and in process somehow pulled off an SPS (I think).

Now I only have like one tiny branch of the originally full SPS frag.

carpets have the meanest sting ever! they will actually hold on to you unlike bubbles and long tents. i've had one devour a porcupine puffer in 10 minutes and it spat the spikes out the next day. =O

It was probably my fault. Ran out of silversides lately so it was probably hungry and decided to move.

But darn! 5 hrs to dissolve an SPS. What a waste!
