Question about dips and QT

My tank is almost finished cycling as well as my QT. I plan on a softie, zoas dominated tank with some LPS. My question is what corals do you dip and QT procedure. I do not have a light for my QT. Furthermore do different corals require different kinds of dips, or is it strictly based off what you are trying to kill?

Pests to corals and fish can come in on anything. Dip, QT and observe. That is the recommended procedure.

Can someone link me to a good article on coral qt? I really don't want to buy a light for a qt tank.
