Question about level sensor extension cable

Hi,

Can anybody tell me whether there is some limit for the length of the extension cable for the optical level sensor. I would like to use Profilux to regulate water level in my freshwater reservoir but the distance between profilux and the reservoir is about 10 meters.

There seems to be 2 meter long extension cable available from GHL(?) (several european aquarium shops sell it), but obviously that isn't enough. Thus, does anybody know how many of those extensions I can join together before losing the signal?

Is there anything profilux specific in this cable? (can I just go to some shop selling electrical stuff and try to find same cable which is a bit longer than 2 meters...)

Please contact your dealer in Finland some things that are available ovr here in canada and in the USA is not always available elsewhere

To my knowledge there aren't any Profilux dealers in Finland. I am ordering directly from Germany. Let's see if any one from GHL can tell about this issue and availability of longer extension cables.

Are there longer than 2 meters (~6 feets) extension cables available in USA or Canada? If there are and level sensor works well with those then I know that I just need to find the cable and stop worrying about the signal strength.
