Question about mitras coverage area

Setting up a new 250DD tank and am trying to decide on lighting.

What would you recommend for a 5'x3' footprint? Tank is 27" deep if that matters. Will be SPS dominant and I am also planing on running 4 48" t5's in a retro.

Could I get by with 2 fixtures? Tank has a solid center brace, so if I added a third would that significantly block the light?

Yes 2 would be very good with that footprint. Worse case is if you decide later you need a 3rd it's simple to go online and order a 3rd lol

Yes each mitras covers about 34 inches. You will be fine with 2 especially with t5

two is perfect especially with the center brace

independent lab research by Dr Sanjay put the useable coverage at 36x36

We have the same foot print and center brace, but much deeper, 2 worked well, and should work for you. but we could not penetrate enough due to the added depth. we double the lights placing them side by side.
