I have a question that might been answered already. First of hello hello RC. I bought a sabae anem and have had it for about 4 weeks. The first 3 days it was doing just fine. It was fully open and looked happy. Now it looks like a little ball. It is inside of itself if that makes any sense. My clowns are upset the cant lay on it. Please help. Is my anem dead?

i have a sebae in a 55g. i have 8 t5 lights, 700+ gph current, coral life skimmer and mine has been well for 2-1/2 months. how long has it been in a ball?

Wait until you get home, then give some more info. It is best to keep it as accurate as possible to avoid confusion, etc.

I have an H. crispa (commonly called a sebae) that folds up into a ball at night. It will open up when the lights come back on.

Looking forward to seeing your answers to the othe questions :)

i had a sebae about 3 weeks ago. it was doing fine for the first couple days then it just died. the same thing happening to u, happened to me. if u take him out of the water and smell him, if he smells horrible and is all flechy, he is probably dead. i had a bleached sebae. if yours is white, than they are more difficult to take care of then the brown colored ones. also if your fish are picking at its tentacles, then it is dead becaues they are attracted to bad smelling things. if it is dead then i would suggest that you take it out as fast as you can because you dont want to contaminate your tank.

after me sebae died, i got a bubble tip which are much easyer to take care of. i have had him for a week and he is doing just fine.

I have a sebea that for about 10 to 12 weeks was in a ball just rolling around in the back of the tank hard s a rock and not sticky. Now a year latter it is doing great.

Thanks

Thanks

The anme is looking a bit better now. It is opened up now, but does not seem to want to stay in one set place. Maybe its like yours and will be ok.

Ours didn't stay put either, so we placed some tall rocks around it so it didn't get blown around. After that it attached.

Good Luck!
