Question for 9002

I'm interested in a 9002 for my nano set up and have a question about possible overflow from the cup. I had a skimmer a few years ago that suddenly started to just pump water out of the hole in the collection cup,with no air mixed with it. Can this happen with the 9002? Thanks in advance.

It could I suppose but the way the skimmer is installed the water would just pour back into the tank. It is an in tank skimmer.

Thanks for the reply, wasn't sure how it is constructed,and can't tell much from the pictures of it.

my 9002 when full does not overflow into the tank and I still get bubbles in the riser, not sure where the water ends up going

In the 9002 the skimmate just drains back down the riser when the cup is full in all but the most extreme situations.
