Question re: Expansion Box

I was curious if anyone knows if the Profilux 3 could be networked via PAB with another Profilux 3 and function as a single system.

The reason I ask is because based on the cost of an Expansion box, and the need to then buy probes and powerbars, it comes out less expensive to just buy a P3 package deal that includes all of the necessities.

I have 2 aquariums and want both to be controlled by a profilux. I currently have 1 Profilux and need to network the two aquariums.

Devices with ProfiLux Aquatic Bus – in short PAB – are connected to the corresponding RJ45 sockets at the ProfiLux 3. Several PAB devices are so to say daisy-chained. This means that the first PAB device is connected via a PAB connection cable with one of the PAB ports of the ProfiLux 3. The next PAB device is either connected to the free PAB port at the ProfiLux 3 or at the free PAB port of the preceding PAB device. A further PAB device is then connected to free PAB port of the preceding PAB device and so on. Also several ProfiLux computers can be connected to this bus. The last PAB devices therefore have always one free PAB port.

Thanks for the reply. My major concern is whether I will be able to remotely control BOTH of the profilux computers through my App on my phone if they are linked by PAB. Basically, I am trying to avoid having to set up access to each of the Profilux boxes individually through the internet, as I would be limited to Ports on my router (from my limited understanding of port forwarding). Hope this makes sense.

Thanks!

your best place to ask these questions would be the support forum, GHL can answer all your concerns directly then as I would have to ask them anyway.
