I have a copperband butterfly fish and am thinking about a carpet anemone in the tank. Will the butterfly pick at the carpet?

it's a real possibility.

Make sure to have fish that will guard the anemone.

And what type of carpet, most people have had issues with Haddoni carpets eating their fish. I've been lucky, over the course of 7+ years mine has only eaten one fish.
