Questions about breeding Picassos

I was planning on getting a pair of picasso clowns , but I was thinking maybe I could get 2 pair . If I get two pair and breed them in the same tank ( 40 breeder ) will they fight ? Will they mess with eachothers eggs ?

And Do clowns need to be alone to breed and lay eggs ?

2 pairs of clowns in a 40 breeder definitely will not work.

What about in a 180 ? ... And would they breed and lay eggs with other fish around ? Just take eggs out afterwards ?

You'd be better off with 2x 40gal tanks. Clowns don't tend to co-habit tanks and your 2 pairs will fight until there is only 1 pair left.

You are probably better off deciding what you want to prioritize - breeding clowns, or having a nice-looking reef tank. The two are somewhat mutually exclusive.
