Questions about Condy anemone!

I am new to this forum and saltwater tanks... I have tried to do my research over the past year on how to properly maintain and care for the tank, so I wouldn't go into this hobby blind. I have a 55 gal. reef tank that has been cycling for about 10 - 11 months. To make a long short I have live Fiji rock, live sand, CUC, two clowns, 700 pgh power head, heater and two 24 inch Current LED light fixtures. My water parameters have been perfect - 1.026, PH 8.2 - 8.4, 0 ammonia, 0 No2, <10 No3, 78 degrees F.

My clowns and CUC have been in my tank for about 3 weeks with no issues. About two - three days ago I added a Condy anemone and it seems to be having some issues. It is semi deflated, mouth is not gaping (but was open for a short period of time), it was stuck to a piece of live rock, but released its self and now is on other side of tank (I believe this is because it didn't like either lighting or water flow in that area). I tried to feed it this morning where it took the piece of shrimp but never ate it. Im not sure if its sick, so I'm looking for some advice. I have some pictures attached. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

I've grown condys under shop lights, it will manage. Not ideal, but doable. It's still pretty new to the tank, give it some time. I think you will honestly be surprised at how much this species moves, they never seem to stay in one place for more than a month or so. Cover your power heads to keep it out.

keep in mind most clowns won't go into a condy, maroon's maybe. and i agree that the lights arn't the best for the anemone. however give it time and it should settle in.

okay thanks for the help guys! I may possibly move the Condy to my aunts tank until I get the right lighting/the fact that my clown won't host it. :headwally:

I'd bring it to your LFS for a credit they can be nasty anemones. I made the mistake of getting one when I was a newb and regretted it.

Second to dkuhlmann. Had to remove one recently when i added corals cause it kept moving and stinging them.
