Questions before I buy

In reviewing the manual I see that there are two ports on the back of the Plus II unit for the controllable switches

S1-S4
S5-S8

In the manual in says that S1-S4 can be digital power bars, I assume this means you could have 4 digital power bars in sequence on this port.

What about S5-S8? Can this only be a 4-outlet powerbar?

Also, it appears that the dosing pump goes in sequence on the S1-S4 port as well...so if I have a dosing pump I could only have 3 digital power bars, but I could add a 4-outlet onto S5-S8.

Have I got it right?

Thanks...

so you're supposed to be able to help me with this too...so I've heard...

Okay....

I want to have two pumps in my ATO container. One pump will go through the Kalk Reactor, the other will go straight to the tank. If the pH is over 8.35, or if the Kalk Stirrer is on, I want to just dose RO from the resevior, otherwise I want it to go through the Kalk Reactor. Additionally, I want the level controller in the resevior to overide the pump complete if the resevior is empty and sound an alarm.

How do I make this happen?

Who started those rumours?
Ya that should be able to be done with the Programmable logic.

Well you use the software to program the "Programable Logic" and once you are done, upload it to the unit.
You don't need the software to run for the "Programable Logic" to work.

Does the programming logic software come with the unit? Is there a manual I can download to look at how that works?

Yes there is you have various options.

The supported options is the PLM-USB expansion card, but alos quite a few use the RS232 to USB converters.

You then have LAN option and and WLan options

So 5 options

RS232
RS232 to USB
USB
LAN
WLAN

I saw your same question in another controllers forum :) , I think you will find that controller does not employ programmable logic where as the profiLux does.

Speaking specifically also about the ProfiLux we can guarrantee the GHL range and hugely advance software is 100% bug free, no issues what so ever.

So if you are looking for a contoller that gives you what you are looking for I would really suggest investigating what the ProfiLux really can do when evaluating your choices, this includes taking into account reliability issues and the support you receive from the manufacturers.

Hope thats of some help in your quest for a controller.
