Quite a Clown/Anemone Corner

I think Ike wipe him out, and those beautiful anemones and rare fish. It was a "smelly soup" as he put it after Ike hitting Seabrook.
It also wipe out of the the Magnifica clone originated from me. One of the first documented reproduction of Magnifica. I know it was not one of the first one but I took pictures of it and documented here on RC back in around 2000.

Wow... that is simply amazing... I am trying to decide between the Thielle or the Leucokranos, any thoughts on their temperaments and ability to play nice with others?

The latest theory I believe is a A. thiellei is a cross between A. ocellaris & A. perideraion. Some still insist it's not hybrid. A. thiellei is so rare there isn't even a pic of it in Wilkerson's book. I also thought it was a cross of A. ocellaris & A. sandaracinos. But A. sandaracinos isn't found around the Island of Cebu where A. thiellei is suppose to originate.

I disagree.

I miss Walt!

I'm still around, mate. Likely to be around more once my new system is up and running. I plan to put one of my two thiellei/ocellaris pairs in the main display (probably the best looking but worst bonded) and will consider doing a full anemone tank for the thiellei/thiellei pair. The third will stay in my son's spongebob themed tank.... likely cleaning without producing (as they have been for some time now) just to tease me. :lolspin:

Leucokranos are full of urine and vinegar IME. I've had 7-9 of them (don't recall exactly how many.) In terms of temperment, they're on par with A. sandaracinos. They can be quite flighty.

The thielleis are tempered on par with ocellaris. Though one of mine is a nasty witch. I tried pairing her with several different males. The one she's been with for the better part of a year is tolerated fairly well.

...I just realized I'm hijacking. My apologies.

Nah Walt this thread is ages old. Nice to "see" you. Starting over myself. Back to nearly back hurricane wipe outs can kill your interest. To be clear we are in the evacuation Zone so it's not like my house was destroyed, we just had to leave it unattended being at 9 ft and all. I just had no way to account for 4-5 days without oxygenation in a 400g water volume of rapidly dying rarities.

Came a point to just pull the fish out and live with the smell. Bad times.

Take care Walt lmk if you see anything interesting if you are inclined.
